To perform well in a job that requires a great deal of self-care and care for others, it’s important to find an outlet where you can be playful, let loose, and push hard. Barre allows Jan, a secondary teacher and counsellor, to do just that. 

She’s required to be calm amidst chaos, compassionate and kind despite being challenged, while still being able to hold her space. This movement gives her the choice to do what she wants, meeting the needs that her work may not.

Experienced instructors and I like that Barre Signature has a standard sequence at the start and some variation based on the instructors’ sequencing. I always get a good sweat and burn after each class!

Did a Yoga Stretch class with Annette Lew and it was a great experience. We worked on the mat with blocks, tennis balls and a band to help with our stretches. The instructor was super patient and I didn’t feel stressed to get it all right all of the time, and was able to work at my own pace according to my own ability.

Beautiful studio with natural light. Attended my first class here with Shamini, and would highly recommended for beginners as she cues quite precisely and it’s quite relaxed so you can pace yourself.
